Food processing is the collection of several methods and techniques used to transform raw materials (from plant or animal sources) into semi-finished goods or edible products. Food technology provides knowledge of science and innovation and develops potential skills for selecting, storing, protecting, managing, packing, and distributing safe, nourishing, healthful, enticing, as well as affordable, and beneficial food sources for consumers.
