The purpose of food packaging and preservation is to protect food products from harmful effects and damage, to retain the food, and to give customers wholesome nuances. Food preservation is the primary driver behind food handling and is at the heart of food science and innovation. Food protection is primarily used to prevent unethical farming practices, provide value-added goods, and provide dietary variety.
